• Fri. and Sat. Sept. 24 and 25, 2010 - 2010 Anson Ag Expo & Fair, Lockhart-Taylor Center,  514 N. • Sat. Nov. 6, 2010, 8:00 am - Discover Anson Bike Ride, Ansonville, NC.  This fifth annual Discover Anson Bike Ride offers 30, 50 and 70 mile routes in the southern Piedmont and foothills of the Uwharrie Mountains. The entry fee is $25 per rider ($20 if entered by Friday, October 15, 2010).  Downloadable registration form is available at www.discoveranson.com/bikeride. On the day of the bike ride, registration begins at 8 a.m. at Ansonville Elementary School (located across U.S. 52 from the Ansonville Volunteer Fire Department).
